As a key member of the Triumph Legal & Compliance Department, the primary focus of the role will be working as data protection and compliance lead to ensure on-going data protection law compliance following the implementation of GDPR and related legislation.   It is intended that in time the role will evolve into also assisting with the provision of wider regulatory compliance support to the business. This would include the development of compliance policies, procedures, guidance materials, toolkits and training, relevant to the manufacturing and sale in multiple markets of a broad range of iconic, high-end  motorcycles and related parts, clothing and accessories.

Educated to at least degree level or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. information governance, law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management) and/or holds a recognised professional certification or in one or more relevant areas of technical specialism (e.g. Data Protection or Data Governance - Practitioner in Data Protection (PCdp),   Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E); Auditing; Project Management; Legal Practice Course).

Previous demonstrable work experience within a similar corporate compliance related role and environment will be required. Ideally, good and current (including post GDPR) knowledge and practical experience of data protection compliance gained from working in or closely with the legal, compliance, corporate governance or risk management function of a company within the automotive sector, consumer product manufacturing or something similar.

Strong candidates with less specific data protection knowledge will be considered if they have good experience of wider corporate regulatory compliance or similar areas gained in a relevant environment from which transferrable skills have been gained. However, this is provided the candidate is willing to undertake appropriate training or qualifications (to be paid for by the company) as may be required (e.g. PCdp or CIPP/E).

Full details of the job description and person specification can be found in the downloadable job files.

A variety of competitive benefits, including an enhanced holiday scheme, favourable pension and life assurance scheme and student loan repayment scheme. Motorcycle, clothing and accessories are available to purchase at a heavily discounted rate. An iconic place to work; join us for the ride!
