A design engineer will be responsible for taking new R&D projects from initial concept stage, proving their capability, refining into pre-production prototypes, and developing through to production sign-off.

  • Use a range of design software and tools to develop, prototype and test both new products and interim product updates, ensuring designs comply with relevant international safety standards.
  • Setup and run development tests, producing comprehensive result write up reports.
  • Take initial concepts, prove their capability, create pre-production prototypes, and then refine into production ready designs that are ready to tool.
  • Maintain and control part number and version integrity and provide effective support to OSET’s stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain detailed CAD assemblies and BOM structures for both existing and new products.
