A great opportunity for the role of Customs Analyst has arisen within the Accounts department of Triumph Motorcycles, the UK’s largest motorcycle manufacturer and a global leading heritage brand.

Reporting to the Duty and Customs Manager, the successful candidate will be required to control, administer and audit the customs documentation of imported and exported goods to ensure compliance with the Company, HM Revenue and Customs legal requirements.

You will be responsible for delivering customs compliance best practice that meets all legislative requirements affecting international trade and utilise duty management techniques that support the delivery of cost of goods savings. We’re looking for someone who will be able to effectively interpret HMRC Customs Notices and other information papers and who will be able to apply the rules of classification of Harmonized codes (Commodity Codes) to ensure new components are classified in a compliant, timely and tax efficient manner for customs planning and import/export purposes.

To succeed in this role the ideal candidate will be able to work independently and within a team. You will be flexible and adaptable, able to take instruction and work under pressure. This role is ideal for candidates who possess good time management skills and must have demonstrable consistently high standards of delivery. We are ideally looking for a flexible and confident person, who will thrive in a changeable environment.

Previous experience of working within a customs role would be advantageous, however this is not essential.
